This book is best read by Christians. Children come to understand the significance of Christmas and why it is celebrated. Scriptures are introduced to young readers through references to Bible verses, which motivates them to read the Bible.

I really want to read this one to my children at Christmas time! It is so important to my family that we celebrate Jesus, and from your review it sounds like this book helps to do just that!

The beautiful ‘old school’ illustrations and the story explaining the real naivety is quite refreshing. Christmas has become a commercial, irreligious gimmick, and, although I’m not particularly religious, it’s nice to see a hark back to the old values.

You gave a great review on a fantastic children's book. Children certainly ask a lot of questions all of the time.

My favorite holiday is Christmas. The opinion you shared piqued my interest, and I became curious as to how the author approaches the issue of Christian Christmas, so that even small children can understand it.

I can’t remember a time when I didn’t know this story, but I also can’t remember a time when I didn’t attend church. Unfortunately, now children don’t do that so it’s great that books that tell the Christmas story exist. Congratulations on BOTD!

Thank you for your review, it has given me the strength to read the book as well.
At first I thought it was a usual Biblical story but when you mentioned that the author backed up her story with the biblical verses I see there is a difference in this book. Thank you once again coordinated review of the book.

Christmas is a reflection of the birth of Jesus Christ by the Christian beliefs and believers. It is a period of time where Christian faithful remember the birth of their savour Jesus Christ . But today, things has fall apart and the center cannot behold again. Today Christmas season and periods has become a time of reunion of friends and families, coming together of difference groups and communities for one purpose or the other, and also a period of merriment even to the so called believers of Jesus Christ. I really appreciate the author of this book for being specific on the purpose of Christmas and I also advise that the purpose of Christmas should be made known to our younger ones both children and the youth in order to achieve it's purpose.

Your review is very enlightening! I sampled the episode of Mary meeting with the angel who tells her that she will be the mother of Jesus, and I liked the illustration and the writing style. Your review shed even more light on what to expect from this book, and I agree that the questions to the readers in the book are an awesome way to get the children to learn and remember this story.
