It must be like a dream come true for boys to discover they suddenly had their own bulldozer, steamroller and other heavy equipment! I can just imagine what fun they would have and how much trouble they would get in. Thank you for the insightful review.

I may not be the target audience for this group, but it does seem like a well illustrated book that a child will enjoy. It seems to be really well illustrated and colorful which a kid would highly enjoy. Overall, this book seems well executed. Congrats on BOTD!

Ashley Wall's The Day I Had a Bulldozer is surely a book that will captivate the interest of young children who are attracted by these heavy-duty vehicles. I agree with the OBC reviewer's observations. Nonetheless, I read the book and agree that it would be enjoyable for children. Congratulations on winning BOTD!

I thought this book really would hold a kids attention especially if they like heavy machinery. It was nice to see that the kids worked together to help someone in need. I thought it was a 5 out of 5 stars for the illustrations, which were captivating, and had a good story line intertwined with the pictures. I know if I had kids that loved construction equipment they would be so excited about this book.

As an adult, I can't imagine a child's feet getting to the pedals of a bulldozer. I just keep imagining Luke jumping up and down trying to control the bulldozer. All in all, it sounds like a fun read for kids.

This sounds like an amazing story. I have to admit I had to look up the meaning of onomatopoeia. The thought of kids having there on construction company makes this book sounds interesting. You did a great job helping me understand the meaning of the book as well as the ups and downs.

Where did the construction vehicles come from? Not getting an answer to this would drive me crazy but for the target audience I think they will be too wrapped up in all the mischief and other events in the book to care much about that question. Really love the cover of the book - cute and eye-catching. I think any young reader would enjoy this book thoroughly, it sounds like fun!!!

I really enjoyed this book. The way that the author enlarged words is great for children to relate the word to the picture. I also liked the way that it gave simple facts about machines. The colors of the pictures were bright and fun and very child friendly. I would recommend this book to anyone who works with children.

For my 3-year-old nephew, who is obsessed with tractors and building, I purchased this book. This novel did not let me down. He insisted on reading it every night before going to bed, telling me it's his favorite. Strongly advised.

First of all, I'll start with commending the title of the book, the author has managed to poke a little at nostalgia. The title feels very familiar and inviting.
The book allows children to imagine, especially those that are up and about, fixing things around the house and reminding anybody that listens that they are going to be engineers when they grow older.
I, myself would be stoked to find a bulldozer with my name on it, outside my window.
The book depicts children working harmoniously in order to achieve one goal, which is paving a path to the ice cream shop. It also tells us that the children had a lot of fun. We wouldn't miss out the educational information the author stuck here and there.
It's a 100% nighttime story, it's also a story to tell your child if he/she has been having difficulties getting along with their siblings/ mates.
The review was just perfect, most parents would be drawn in.

I read this book and I do much enjoyed it, I love reading children's book because it bring back all the memories of my childhood, and helps me in ways I can't explain. I also love reading kids books to have new beautiful story to tell my nephews and niece..
I love the beautiful illustration that brought life to the storyline. Every childs big dreams is having their toys come to life so they can play and be played with .
Every character in this book was intentionally and extremely executed to bring out the charm in the book.

The beautiful, simple but yet engaging storyline kept me glued from start to finish, it is a perfect bedtime story that will bring beautiful imagination's and leave a smile on their faces. With the all the construction equipment that are in this book I surely know that my nephews will like it once I buy them the book.
