This will be a great book for kids to learn about hummingbirds and narwhals. It sounds both educational and entertaining. However, I don't read children's books, so I'll skip this one.

In Annie Higbee's children's book, "The Hummingbird & the Narwhal," an unlikely friendship forms between a hummingbird and a narwhal. Despite their visible differences, the two animals meet by chance, both having been pushed off their usual paths by strong winds. The hummingbird, originally bound for Maine, lands on a narwhal surfacing in the arctic. The narwhal, separated from his migrating family, quickly becomes friends with the hummingbird. The story beautifully conveys a message about the significance of kindness and friendship through these uncommon animal characters. Narwhals and hummingbirds are seldom featured in children's literature, adding authenticity and uniqueness to the narrative. The writing style is proficient and lyrical, while the illustrations, painted with crayons, complement the text superbly. I recommend it to those who enjoy fables, illustrated stories, and narratives with essential teachings, not just for children but also for adults appreciative of refined storytelling.

Children will always migrate towards people who are the same as them on the inside. It’s not until adults get involved that they choose friends based on outward appearance. This book about a hummingbird and a narwhal will help them see their original choices as valid. Congratulations on BOTD!

The book is a nice proof to the fact that opposites attract: two completely different animals "recognized their similarities and the ways they could help each other" and formed a tight friendship. Congratulations on becoming BOTD!

What a lovely children’s book with unexpected friendship! I love this setup, two lost creatures, seemingly very different, find each other, and discover they’re not that different after all. If the illustrations are as cute as the cover picture leads to expect, I most definitely want to read this story! Thank you for the lovely review!!

Lovely Children's Books which will teach kids the true meaning of friendship and companionship. Two beings so different and yet alike in some deeper sense, that means much more than looks and popularity. Definitely worth to read and understand for the rest of the kid's life and deserves wholehearted congrats with BOTD!

The idea of a narwhal and a hummingbird as characters is quite intriguing. These are animals rarely seen in literature. This book has the potential to be a great reading experience for children.
