The premise of the story of a grandmother who turns into a bat at night, is truly a new idea. And a children's book on the gandma's adventures is delightful to read. I hope to read and enjoy the book with my young children. Thanks for an excellent review!

Grandma and her grandchildren have a beautiful connection, filled with laughter and wonder, as if each night is a portal to a world of wonder, reminding us that magic can be anywhere, even in the stories your grandmother tells...especially if she turns out to be a flying bat with plenty of mischief to share.

Thank you for sharing your insightful and positive review of "Batty Wings" by Marlene Rattigan. The book's unique premise of a grandmother who turns into a bat at night is captivating and imaginative, making it an engaging read for young children. The vibrant illustrations by Sergio Drumond, which you've highlighted, truly bring the story to life and enhance the overall reading experience.

I appreciate your observation about the simplicity of the narrative, focusing on adventure and enjoyment rather than imposing a moral lesson. This approach makes the book accessible and appealing to young readers just starting to explore the world of literature. The dialogue-heavy writing style also adds to the book's charm, making it an ideal choice for reading aloud and sharing with others.

Your thorough and thoughtful review, along with the flawless editing you've noted, makes "Batty Wings" a highly recommended book for young readers. The 5-star rating is well-deserved, and I'm sure many children and parents will enjoy this delightful and magical adventure.

This sounds like a wonderfu, and fun read for Littles. Perfect for Halloween, or even any time of the year! It's a fun way to help kiddos be a little less afraid as well.

This was a wonderfully written review. It noted the strengths and weaknesses of the book, informed the reader of the premise, and explained that it was geared towards entertaining children. The author accomplishes this without focusing on teaching lessons but purely focusing on the fascinating concept of a grandmother that can turn into a bat. I will probably be reading this book to my children.

Seems like a great juxtaposition! A 'ninja' batty grandmom and the simple tales she relates to her grandkids! Wow! Count me in!

I particularly enjoyed that every person reviewing this book appreciated the storyline, the writing but also the wonderful illustrations. I got to be a child again, talking with my grandparents in front of the fire. Both the author and illustrator indeed offer such a fun, whimsical way of providing an answer to a simple, innocent question of a child. Everything can be an opportunity to spend quality time with the people you love, sharing stories, laughing together, learning more about them and ourselves through both the eyes of children and elderly. Two generations so far apart finding joy in quality time will forever be one of my favourite topics to read in books for children!
