A simple, bright, happy story about an outing to the beach is sure to make anyone's day good, and the drawings are fun, making me think of crayon drawings or, as you said, paintings by a child. I've not been on a beach for ages! I am a great fan of picture books, so I am happy to get the book for free. I hope to enjoy the day with Looice. I am not sure children will understand the full beard, though. They may mistake him for one of the seven dwarfs!
