I beleive this book will have a broad audience. Children usually have a special relationship with their pets, especially their dogs.

Very nice review of an interesting children's book. Good plot, a fine main character- a smart dog that loves his mistress, Gma. Everything is seen through the dog's eyes, so a fresh perspective.

This will be a great addition for kids, especially those that have pets. However, it's not a perfect fit for me, so I'll pass on it.

Great review! Sounds like a cute story. I always wonder how pets feel about their owners. Sometimes, I see dogs and their owners together and the dog seems to care deeply for their owner when they need help or they're in danger, so I always wonder how they feel or see things. This sounds like a really cute story! I might buy this for the children in my family.

Thank you for your review. I love children's stories! It's quite possible that I enjoy the nostalgia of the hundreds I'd read when I was little! I would enjoy reading this to young children or reading together with them. Secretly, I wouldn't mind reading it alone too! If anyone asks, I'll say that I'm searching for suitable stories for sharing with the young ones! I also love libraries and the event Mr. McTavish attends with his owner is in a library - definitely one of my favourite places.

What an interesting book. I like pets, especially dogs. I like the way you can have a wonderful companionship and relationship with your dogs. I enjoy books that are about the pet's perspective, we get to read about their thoughts, and the reason for some of their attitudes.

This seems to be an exciting book. We, humans, have been keeping pets since time immemorial. We seem to develop a strong bond with our pets and can go through great sacrifices to make them more comfortable than we sometimes do for fellow human beings. Thanks for the review.

"Mr. McTavish Goes to the Library" by Bon Kay is a book about the dog of the same name. The book describes a typical day from a dog's perspective. The book is concise, interesting, and richly illustrated.

I have always loved reading children's books. I enjoyed the sample. Kids will love reading this cute story about a grandma taking her dog to the library. Talking dogs are always a hit. I'd like to know if Mr. McTavish is a special guest for story time or if they are there to check out books. The book review was nicely done.

I appreciate your personal reflection on the relationship between humans and their pets. It adds a relatable element to the review and highlights the universality of the themes explored in the book.

Children always enjoy stories about animals, and this sounds like a fun one. However, I won't be buying this book as I think some of the age group it is aimed at would be reading to themselves, so I would prefer Gma to be written as Grandma. Thank you for a great review!

Sounds very lovely in description and more importantly capable to teach children to be kind and compassionate. Definitely going to recommend it to friends or purchase as gifts for their kids. Congrats with BOTD!

I enjoy authors who incorporate humans with their fury friends. This is a riveting review, as is the book touching.
