Rocky by Jennie E Nicassio

This is a story of positive reinforcement. Believe...do what it takes to help make it so... don't wallow in your doubts or those who make you feel like a lessor person (tree). Take the step and enjoy what comes to you. Thanks Jennie for helping kids learn and hopefully remember these important skills.

Congrats for this such great and detailed review. This is a good book for children. It will teach them how to handle "bully" while they are gowing up. Thanks to the author for giving the copy for free.

Wow! There is no better way to teach a child the important lessons in this book. How to be brave, never believe in short cuts (magic), being hard working among many others! It's a good book and an amazing review.

I like your analogy to the Charlie Brown Christmas tree. To me it was also analogous to Rudolph and his red nose. Thanks for the review.

What a cute story! I like how the author helps little children to handle a bully since an early age. Unfortunately, this type of lessons in the stories are still needed because bullying still exists. I hope one day they won't be needed at all. Thanks a lot for your great review!

What an awesome review! I love how you liken this tree to the Charlie Brown tree..everyone knows what that tree looks like, and can immediately see the picture in their mind!

Very good explanation of the concept of how wrong bullying is, and how important it is for everyone to have confidence in themselves no matter what others have to say!

This sounds like a sweet story with a few very important messages woven in. Can't say as I've ever thought of the Rockefeller Christmas tree in this way before! Thank you for the great review.

I agree, one of the most important messages was about standing up for oneself and never giving up. The fact that the little tree believed in himself even more with a little support from the fairy was important as well (a little help from our friends). Good point about the pictures being made available to color. I think kids would love it!
