Even though I wasn't as a kid fascinated with ferrets, my friend has two and her kids love them so I can attest that there is a certain appeal to them. So I can see how a book about them would interest younger readers. Shame about editorial errors. Great review.

My own children are way too old already to find any enjoyment in this kind of book. As you can guess, I also can't have much interest in reading it myself)) Therefore, I unfortunately have to skip this book, but it is shame it wasn't available in time when my kids were of age for it.

One thing I look out in kids book is how educative the photographic illustrations can be. The author did a great job in area. Great review.

I have no idea what a ferret is but your review is very compelling. I hope the author puts your corrections and work more on the plot.

I like your honesty in your review. It is hard sometimes to write a children's book especially when you are trying to do so with a complex story. I think that the author intent was in the right place, but he should have made the story less drawn out. He also should have allowed the story to be told in less complicated way so that children would grasp it better.

I have never outgrown my love for children's books and I am so excited to dig into this one. This is informative because it is my first time to see a ferret which I first thought was a rat. Children's books provide many lessons in life especially about friendship and family, and this is no exception. Congrats!
