The Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R. F Kristi is the eighth book in the Diary of a snoopy cat. The 120 pages is a stand-alone and colourful book that is amazingly understandable. The story is about Inca, a super dope cat detective who heads Inca & Company detective agency. The team consists of different characters who are committed to solving detective mysteries.
The Human Mom, Missy, has been selected to be one of the judges at the French patisseries’ competition organized by “Le Cordon Bleu” to be held in South Korea. Missy in the company of Solo (the mansion owner and Missy’s admirer), Inca, Terrance, Fromage and Cara set out for the journey while Monk and Polo stay back. Their arrival was eventful as they discovered that Missy’s cheese called, "La Crème de la Crème" was missing. Who stole the cheese bag? What assignment did Inca & company detective execute in Korea? The answers to these questions make the book an interesting one.
I love the way the author develops each of the characters in the story and how their roles intertwine to promote teamwork. Also, the description of Enzo makes me smile and getting to see his picture on the next page couldn’t help me stop laughing. Another thing I admire is the educative description of each animal breed. These make the book informative and entertaining.
One thing that I am not impressed with is the wrong description used in describing Baram on two different occasions in the book. Notwithstanding, I enjoy reading the book.
Overall, I rate the Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula 4 out of 4 stars because I found it delightful and educative. I recommend this book to children between 5 to 12 years old. Their parent can also enjoy the informative facts in the book.

You an I, tonight!
You may forget the warmth he gave,
I will forget the light.
When you have done, pray tell me
That I my thoughts may dim;
Haste! lest while you're lagging.
I may remember him!

@ReyvrexQuestor Reyes rexQuestor, I understand your point on the stake of the cat bit this is a children book. Thanks for your comment.ReyvrexQuestor Reyes wrote: ↑08 Sep 2019, 16:28 Cats have long been objects of fascination, even for humans of the earliest Egyptian civilization. And in modern times, we find books of cat detectives such as this one. In my school days, I could recall reading Puss 'n Boots, and in the movies we had Catwoman. (By the way, I prefer Michelle Pfeiffer playing the role rather than Anne Hathaway, lol) Anyway, I just second-guess that the cat detectives of this novel foil the scheme of some crazed billionaire desirous of world domination, or, at least, locate a hijacked nuclear missile, as what worthy detectives do, to be interesting big time. I take that back if this book is for children. Thanks for this review.
