Serendipity Mystery is the seventh book of the Inca Cat Detective Series by R.F. Kristi. Inca remains the head of the animal detective agency that involves solving serious crime mysteries. In this seventh series, they are on another mission to recover a stolen valuable sword. How will the animal detective agency recovers the stolen treasure from the Colombo Museum?

In this series, Inca, the cat detective, is on holiday with mum on a minor island in the middle of India and Southeast Asia. The Inca and Company’s crew members are Fromage, Charlotte, Cara, and Terrance. In this mission, they met Mama Elephant and her child, Meena, and turtles. Each of them played a role in retrieving the missing valuable sword. There are several mysteries and comic scenes in this book.

One thing I look out for in children’s book is the moral lesson the author passes across to the reader. Kristi did a nice job in this series. This book shows the value of friendship and family. It teaches kids the importance of working as a team and how to appreciate each other’s differences. I admire how the Mama Elephant and Mama Leopard accepted Inca.

My favourite scene is Inca’s thoughts whenever he finds himself in danger. He examines every possible scenario that might happen. I believe this creative idea will prepare kids to think deeper in any situation they find themselves. Also, the style of writing ensured that the pace is balanced.

Serendipity Mystery is well-edited. I barely noticed two punctuation errors. It is a must-read for all children within the age bracket of 5 to 15 years. Furthermore, primary school teachers can use it in the classroom as teaching material. There is nothing I dislike about this book. It is well-crafted. It will make children adore animals and love adventures. Therefore, I rate Serendipity Mystery 4 out of 4 stars.

I haven't read any of the books in this series, but it's good to know that they teach good morals.

Yes to a book for the kids. It's even more appealing since it is well edited. Weldone on your review
