Will lives in the controversial place called The Hill. The Hill school bus had a powerful rocket engine and equipped with parachutes. Unfortunately, he misses the bus because of two sleepless nights due to an intruder named Gertrude, which is oftentimes called in a name-calling 'Intrude'. He had a lot of matters wrestling in his mind, including the breach of friendship with Dillon, his best friend and the constant blackmail of Gertrude. Plus, he is anxious to scrape the gum and boogers under the desk if Ms. Early will find out about his "Edgar the Super Beetle" comic book hidden somewhere in the school. Thinking about The Hill, maybe his math teacher named Mr. Claussen was right in his question. "Why is it that we have to take that ridiculous bus to come all the way up here when there's plenty of land below?"

Will of The Hill by Marshall Cobb is a fantastic book for kids, typically between the ages of 4 to 12 years old. This book reminds me of my grade-school days because in my time comic books are the number one source of fun. Exchanging comic books with peers are one of the reason friendships begins, which is being portrayed in the story.

I appreciate Marshall utilizes friendship, business ventures, family life, and grade-school days in a short story book; it can be read only for less than a day. The book is well-written and well-edited with a simple words best for teaching children in reading skills. The book is without typos, which reveals that it is polished carefully. However, I'm a bit disappointed for I thought the book had plenty of illustrations or images. The book is more captivating if it contains illustrations, though I'm still happy reading the journey of Will; I can't imagine scraping the gum and boogers of the bottom of the desk, this part absolutely makes me laugh.

My ratings of the Will of The Hill is 4 out of 4 stars. The author performed an excellent story of a typical boy who is going in the adolescent period, but still wants to be a kid. The characters in the story are well-developed compact with a protagonist, antagonist and the supporting characters are very lively. Furthermore, the story is not merely for children, but also for a hardworking parent.

I did mention business above. Readers will be amazed by the business ventures in this book. I can't imagine the way they live, yet it happens in reality, particularly in the shoe industry. The story is also an eye-opener, especially in the area of "you give because the product contains defects", like the "lunch bag" in the story with a misprint of "Wonder Womon" and "Ceptain America."

I think this book would be very interesting for children, although I agree that there should be a lot of pictures at this age. The picture on the book cover is certainly a nice one. Thank you for an informative and engaging review!

It sounds like an amusing book, though I imagine it's geared more towards older kids who are transitioning from picture books. Thanks for the review!

Thanks also for dropping by. Yeah, the gums and boggers are common in childhood stage, which is relatable in every race.
