Review by siusantos -- Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a S...
Young sleuths and aspiring spies, rejoice! Inca and her gang of furry detectives have something exciting in store for you!
In Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat, Inca and her family went on a vacation on the sunny island of Sri Lanka. There they enjoyed the warm weather, the glorious beach, and ate lots of ice cream. They also met new and interesting friends, both big and small.
Then, their holiday became more amazing. Their London neighbor Solo, a world-renowned detective, and his loyal and brave dog, Terrance, arrived. The Colombo Museum invited them to investigate the case of the missing antique sword.
Inca's snooping senses immediately awakened. Together with her team, and her newfound friends, they looked for clues, and helped solve the mystery.
I never thought I'd enjoy reading children’s books so much until I read Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi. Though the story was simple, and it started in a relaxed mood, it was brimming with excitement, adventure, and suspense. I liked that the author had presented a series of adventures that the characters embark on.
I also liked that the author included facts about Sri Lanka and the various animals that were in the story. These tidbit of information were inserted into the story flawlessly. Readers got to learn new things in a fun and enjoyable way.
What I liked most, though, were the superb descriptions that evoked my imagination and feelings. The author gave graphic accounts of the places the characters visited, and the adventures they were involved in. She also gave clear illustrations of the settings that Inca and her furry family enjoyed. There were moments when I could feel the sensations that the characters felt.
I enjoyed Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat so much that I did not find anything to dislike. It was edited well because I did not find any grammatical error. Because of this, I am giving this book 4 out of 4 stars.
Readers who are fond of animals, and like adventure and spy stories would enjoy this book. Young and mature readers alike would find this book entertaining.
