The little girl is lucky to have had a kind P.A tend her knee injuries. Pretty much reminds me of the movie "Fat chance."

I loved your suggestions! Adults so easily forget how a child experiences a medical procedure. This book is informative and could point some young readers into the medical field. Great review!

This is really a great review. I want to read this book not only for my self. I will definitely read it with my niece as it will help her learn from it.

I love the book's primary message, which is about reducing the fear children feel when they need to undergo a medical procedure. I believe that health professionals should not just focus on doing the procedure flawlessly; they should also make sure to be as communicative as possible.

I always loved children books. This could be very helpful to parents whos children are scared to go to the doctor. Thanks for your review.

My professional background is as a Certified Child Life Specialist. Helping children navigate potentially traumatic medical procedures, hospital stays, diagnoses or transitions is quite literally what I do (lucky!). We use play and age-appropriate language to help children prepare for, and understand the procedure they are going to have. Thank you very much for highlighting the importance of this service (and not ambushing or lying to a child) in your review. It is vital that we prevent trauma early on, so fear doesn't persist in a person's adult experiences. I'll be picking this book up for the kids in my private practice!
