This seems like the story of a curious 12 year old who relocated to Texas due to her parents divorce to stay with her aunt. She has to deal with the pain of separation but also explore her new home. The story focuses on Lea's summer transformation. This is a great review

It's unfortunate that when you had everything planned, everything is disrupted. Lea not only has to lose living in the same house with both parents but has also to live away from them.

The book has such an attractive cover, depicting summer I guess. I would like to se how Lea gets through her loneliness and the drastic change between her parents during the summer. It promises to be interesting.
