Love, Grandma is an illustrated memoir written by Ann Morris. In this book, she writes about her most memorable moments with her two adorable grandchildren: Haley and Payton. She recounts her priced memories from the birth of Payton, who is the older of the two, to when they are grown little ladies capable of doing cartwheels.

It is written in the third person with a poetic feel to it. Short and concise, with a simple structure, and rhyming last words for each block of sentences. Add to this that it is only twenty-two pages long and you have yourself a great read for children as young as six years. I loved the illustrations which showed exactly what was being narrated. David Gnass did a commendable job with the pictures.

I think what left the biggest impression on me was that the stories were a recollection of the author's most cherished moments with her grandchildren. The love she shares with them is clearly depicted in text and images. This kind of love that is freely given is what we easily forget. A book like this is a reminder to keep such treasured memories close to our hearts, and to revisit them just for fun, now and then.

I found no errors in the book. I thought it was neatly packaged, with every aspect of it alluring to its young audience. It would make a great storytelling book. Great for that walk-down-memory-lane moment between grandparents, parents, and children. It would be great also for children learning how to read because of the simple words used.

I rate the book with 4 out of 4 stars because I found no fault in it. The editing was excellently-done. I think it is a superb read and look forward to reading more of the author's work.
