To Be Saved by Jeffery Distad is a pretty straightforward, religious children's book. In it, readers are introduced to Jeff, the author, narrator, and the main character. Jeff is a family man who also loves God. He regularly prays and talks to God. God tells Jeff that only the "righteous" will go to heaven. How is this determined? Will God tell Jeff how he can go to heaven too?

This was an unusual book: to say the least. It was not quite as I was pictured. While I am not overly religious, I did grow up Catholic and am familiar with the subjects in the book. The main theme - that all people can be saved - is as I was taught. This book would be perfect to be added to Sunday school lessons. I think this is what I liked most.

That said, those who do not have faith in God or are not open to it should not read this book. It is heavily based on religion. That said, those who believe in God may love this book and choose to read it to their children. I would most recommend this book to them.

On the other hand, there were a few things I did not like. Firstly, there were some grammatical errors in the book. While they were minor, I feel that all books should be properly edited. Secondly, I was not too fond of the pictures. You could tell that they were not done by a professional illustrator; however, some people may enjoy them. Additionally, I felt that the book was overly long. With more than twenty pages until the end, I found myself bored.

Given the above considerations and my general enjoyment of the book, I have to give this book 2 out of 4 stars. Should some additional work be done, I think this book could receive a higher rating from me.

This sounds like it has the potential to be a really nice book for religious families, so it's unfortunate to hear that it's boring and that the pictures were obviously not professional (a bit unfortunate for a children's picture book). Thanks for your review!

Well, this isn't good for a children's book. There's a theme there but the errors and pics are a bit off. Thanks for the honest review 👌

It would be nice for Christain parents to read this book to their kids. Understanding it is quite easy and the errors are not very conspicuous. It could use some improvement though. Thanks for the honest review.

I like that you think it would be a good book for Sunday school lessons. I would sure like to have it for my class after the editing. Thanks!
