Have you ever read a book that instantly made you happy? Well, Love, Grandma by Ann Morris is that book. Set in a joyous mood, the book is sure to interest anyone just as it did me. The birth of Payton, followed by that of baby Haley after a while, brings immense happiness to grandma. She enjoys interacting with them through various activities such as drawing, painting and even sewing. The children also adore their grandma and are eager to try and learn new things. That is what makes the book all the more interesting. You would even be surprised to know that grandma's aged bones can handle a bit of gymnastics!

I commend the author on her choosing of the title. It very well suited the text in that, as much as grandma loved her grand children, the feeling was reciprocated. The book was very colourful, with each page contextually accompanied by pictures of the loving family. The text was also poetic in a way as most of the words at the end of a line were rhyming.

While reading Love, Grandma, I did not find anything not to my liking. I was so invested in finding out more about grandma and the children, that I did not notice the book drift to an end. That, and the fact that the book was approximately twenty pages, which did not bother me at all. I would say the editing job was well done since I did not spot any errors, making my reading uninterrupted.

The relationship between these family members is what stuck out to me the most. It was honestly so pure and admirable and for that reason, I rate the book a four out of four stars. This book would be great for children and all those people who love to read about genuine and exciting family interactions.

I loved that grandma bonded with the kids while painting, sewing and drawing.

It is great to have a great familial relationship in a book, as many times families aren't all that. Great review!
