Love, Grandma, by Ann Morris, is a short story for kids. The book follows Grandma playing with her two daughters: Payton and Hayley. It follows the trio through everyday activities they enjoy doing together. They play, read, decorate, and even create tent houses and puppet theater plays. The book is written in rhymes and has a melodic sound for describing the adventures of this family. Love, Grandma is a story that presents a portrait of a loving and caring family.

What I like about this book is that it is very well-made. The quality of the book shows by itself. It is short, sweet, and very entertaining. The illustrations and the format of the book are amazing. The edition looks extraordinarily professional. The story is touching and simple. This reminded me of my childhood memories with my own grandmother. I think the book is amazing for gathering families together.

I cannot think of something I dislike from this book. Perhaps the only minor detail I would comment about is that, despite the book having rhymes and a certain metric or rhythm, it is not constant on all the sentences. However, I do not think this is a major issue. If you read it aloud, I think the book works really well, and it can still be used for teaching rhymes and metric schemes.

The book was exceptionally well edited, and I could not find any typos or mistakes. Additionally, the illustrations of the book are lovely and of outstanding quality. I think this book does not go against anyone’s religious beliefs. It does not include any profanity or vulgar language, nor any erotic content, since it is a book suited for children and families.

I would rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because it was fun to read; it has an exceptional quality regarding its edition; it is very lovely for children, and it can also be very useful. I would recommend this story for children and for parents who like reading to their kids. At the same time, as a teacher, I would recommend this book for non-native English learners, especially if they are children. The rhythm, the rhymes, and the structures included in the book could be a great material to show and to practice in class.
