R.F. Kristi’s Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat is the 7th book in the series. Join your favorite furry friends in solving their latest mystery. Inca, the inquisitive cat detective, is on a new adventure. This time, she and her family and friends are exploring beautiful Sri Lanka while escaping the cold weather at home in London.

The gang is enjoying a relaxing holiday at the beach when they suddenly find themselves in the middle of a mystery involving some precious items that come up missing from a museum. It takes a team effort from Charlotte, Fromage, Inca, Terrance, Cara, and their newfound friends to solve the mystery of the missing sword and gold coins. Hold on to your seats as you join these four-legged friends on their latest caper and take a visit to Sri Lanka. Join in to see if this snoopy cat and her witty friends can solve yet another mystery.

This is a fantastic children’s series that combines travel, culture, and friendships with excitement, mystery, and lessons to be learned. I am a huge fan of this series, and this book did not disappoint. As usual, the author does a fantastic job of taking children on an unforgettable adventure using amazing imagery and a talent for creating meaningful, relatable dialogue. The author effortlessly intertwines the animals’ real-life characteristics with unique personalities creating relatable and fun characters. In this book, Inca, the inquisitive cat detective, has help from some of her usual partners. Fromage, the no-nonsense foodie, and brother of Inca, is my favorite character. This beloved character is best friends Charlotte the hamster, and the two are inseparable. Who could imagine a hamster and a cat being friends! As with all books in the series, there is much to be learned and experienced. Culture, diversity, teamwork, and morality are all tightly packaged in book seven.

I loved everything about the book, and I wholeheartedly rate it 4 out of 4 stars. I found nothing negative about this fun and engaging mystery. This author has a true talent for relating to children and has beautiful, inviting illustrations throughout the book. The author has also created a fun and unique website to interact with fans of the books. As with the entire series, the author also includes a family tree of characters and a blurb about Inca’s detective agency to aid readers new to the series.

This book has been professionally edited, as I found no errors in the text. Although this entire series is amazing, this book can easily be read separately. I recommend this book to all young readers as well as adults who would like to showcase that reading can be fun. I’m looking forward to the next cat caper!
