Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi is the seventh book in the Inca Cats series and revolves around a group of intelligent cat investigators and their dog friends, headed by Inca, who fly out to Sri Lanka for a vacation with their owner Missy. Upon reaching, they realize that a precious sword has gone missing from the island's museum, along with other valuable items. It is up to Inca and her friends to solve this mystery and find the culprit.

R.F. Kristi's books have never failed to entertain me and this one was no different. I thought the plotline was engaging and I loved the elements of culture and archaeology that the author introduced. Young readers are bound to develop a love for animals through this book and an appreciation for Sri Lankan culture and its people. It is an easy read for the target audience and the illustrations add to the beauty of the book. The book was also exceptionally edited and I found no grammatical errors or spelling mistakes.

There was nothing particular about the book that I disliked. R.F. Kristi manages to hold even an adult reader's attention through her insightful and enjoyable writing.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It is definitely a wonderful reading experience and will introduce children to the importance of respecting cultural differences and valuing multiculturalism.

I would recommend this book to readers aged between 8 and 12 years, although it can be read by younger children as well. They are bound to have a great time reading Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat and will walk away having learned something new about animals and culture.
