Kristi introduces us to Inca and her detective team through colorful pictorial illustrations. The introduction of this book makes it ideal as a standalone. Any reader who hasn’t read the preceding volumes will be in a position to follow the story without struggle. Also, the many characters mentioned along the way were relatable. This was courtesy of the thorough introduction at the beginning of the book. Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi is sensational!

Inca and her family are enjoying the refreshing breeze on the island of Sri Lanka. Suddenly, their human mom, Missy, reads in the newspaper that a priceless sword has gone missing in the local museum. Inca and her detective team put their skills into practice. A few trails steer her into the wild, where she encounters wild animals that enlighten her on the importance of the lost sword. The need to recover the ancient sword now becomes dire.

I liked many aspects of this book. The importance of teamwork is emphasized in this book. Young children will learn that it requires more than their effort to accomplish their goals in life. I enjoyed the tale when it went into the wild. Monkey meetings, baby elephants, and leopards were among the animals that brightened the tale.

I learned much about the culture of the Sri Lanka people. The geography, terrain of the island, and elucidations of the wild reminded me just how important it is to take care of the earth. While solving the mystery, new friendships were established, and older bonds became even tighter.

I did not discover any grammatical errors; therefore, the work is exceptionally well edited. Full of adventure, this book will be a stimulating read for children. I did not detect anything to despise; as a result, I rate the book four out of four stars. I recommend it to kids between the ages of 6 and 12 years.
