I think I know where this story is heading, but I'd need to read the book to be sure! Thank you for the lovely review.

Ticklish rituals and forgotten birthdays would definitely keep this children’s book interesting, but you make an excellent point about the need for tangible lessons and morals amidst the colorful illustrations and storyline. Thank you for your birthday-themed review! 🎂

I doubt if truly everyone forgot Kaylie's birthday. However, being a very short story makes the suspense a short wait too. Thanks for your excellent review.

Too bad this book doesn't have the exact message for kids. It seems like good material. Great review!

This sounds like a nice story to have on the shelf and use as maybe one of a couple bedtime stories since it doesn't have its own moral. At some point, I think it's important to introduce kids to books that are simply meant for enjoyment, but it is also a good idea to have morals in a lot of their stories. It sounds like the story and illustrations were great, which makes for a perfect just-for-enjoyment book.

I think many children would resonate with the anxiety that is a birthday being possibly forgotten. I hope Kaylie got her surprise party in the end.
