Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat, written by R.F. Kristi, is a children's book written in the first-person narrative. This book is about Inca, a cat detective who leads a detective agency called Inca & Company detective agency. Due to its crime-solving techniques, the agency is well-known across London and some parts of France. The power of friendship and teamwork was put into action in this book. It can be read as a standalone, despite it being the 7th in the book series.

In the first few pages, the author introduced us to Inca’s family tree and members of her detective agency. Inca and her siblings followed their human mom for a vacation on the beautiful island of Sri Lanka. They befriended Rani the turtle and Meena, a baby elephant. One morning on the island during breakfast, it was revealed that a valuable antique item had been stolen from Colombo’s main museum. This news caught the attention of Inca. She and her incomplete team decided to get into action. What was stolen and who stole the item was revealed as I read the book.

The title of this book caught my attention, and before reading it, I had the feeling I was going to love it. This is a wonderful piece with an important message put together by Kristi. Teamwork is the key message in this book. We as individuals shouldn't lean on our understandings or abilities alone as it creates limited opportunities in life. But with the power of teamwork, even the strongest obstacles can be conquered. Fromage is one of my favourite characters. In every family, there is always that naughty and stubborn person. Fromage was that person in Inca’s family. From the beginning of the book to the end, there was no part I disliked.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars because the book was flawless and professionally edited. I found no typographical or grammatical error while reading. I also gave it a full rating because of the beautiful illustrations of the animals by Jorge Valle. Simple and easy words were used in this book.

I enjoyed the book so much that I read it twice in 2 days. I look forward to reading other books in the series. I recommend it to children within the age range of 5 and 12 years. Although this book is for kids, adults will also enjoy reading it.
