The book Love, Grandma by Ann Morris is a children’s book exploring the story of a grandmother and her 2 granddaughters, Payton and Haley. This book is dedicated to the author’s real-life granddaughters, Payton and Haley. The story revolves around the relationship between the grandmother and her granddaughters. The book begins with Payton’s birth. Payton and her grandma played with toys, stuffed bears, and high heels. They read many books together. Sometimes, grandma would give pony rides to Payton. Then comes the birth of lovely Haley. After Haley had joined the duo, their joy multiplied manifolds.

Haley loved her grandma and Payton and would look forward to the airplane rides that grandma gave her! They would make many colorful cookies in the shapes of flowers, trees, stars, and wreaths. The sisters loved painting grandma’s nails in different colors. Grandma had a million buttons- at least that’s what the sisters thought! The girls would also help grandma feed birds in her backyard. The trio had so much fun together, that a day would seem like a second!

The best thing about this book is that it is written like a poem. The writing style is further enhanced by the wonderful language used by the author. And the illustrations are fantastic. They add life to the book, giving the readers visual recognition of the characters. I also liked how the author introduced the entire family at the end of the story. That made a special connection between the readers and the characters.

There is nothing that I disliked about the book. The book was exceptionally well edited, with zero errors. The author has put many of her own experiences with her granddaughters in the book, and children will easily fall in love with it.

I award Love, Grandma a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. This book is truly a masterpiece in the children’s genre and deserves nothing less than a perfect rating.

I would recommend this book to children between the ages of 6 to 12. Children below the age of 6 will have some difficulties in comprehending some words given in this book. So, parents of such children can read this book to them.

The various games Payton and Haley played with their grandmother make me reminisce of my moments with my grandmother. Great review!

This was a beautiful book that portrayed a grandmother's love for her grandchildren. The author's memories with her granddaughters were so endearing. A few of their moments together sent me on a trip down memory lane. Thanks for the great review.

Exactly. The games given in this book are educational and fun as well. What more does a child need?

Right. And not only sweet memories, this book also educates children on what activites are to be done in their homes and how to do them. Learning is fun!
