When Mazy’s mommy buys her a new red balloon, she is thrilled to go out and play with it. Unfortunately, as she plays, the balloon gets blown up by the wind. Mazy frowns because she assumes she has lost it. The red balloon goes on an adventure both in the air and on the land. Will it return to Mazy after the venture?

I love how the book concludes. It was a pleasurable encounter for the balloon, and Mazy learned a lesson in the end. The language adopted by the author gave the book an easy flow. During the balloon’s adventures, rain falls from the sky, and the ground starts to flood. A nearby frog hops on it to avoid the waters. Just as the balloon offered the frog a place to rest, children will learn that even they can extend a helping hand wherever possible. Christopher has utilized stylistic devices to add flavor to the story. Kids will enjoy this.

With that noted, I felt like the book needed some improvements in some sectors. Although there are pictures included, they are not as delightful as I would have hoped. Though they will serve their purpose of complementing the theoretical part of the volume, their quality could be improved.

Moreover, to me, the tale seemed somehow superstitious. It is common knowledge that balloons are highly delicate; they’re prone to bursting at the slightest pricking. In the story, however, even a hog hangs on the red balloon without bursting. It would have been pleasant if the author introduced the balloon as a unique kind. Those are the aspects I did not enjoy. Therefore, I rate the book 3 out of 4 stars.

There weren’t any errors, so it is factual to say the installment is professionally edited. Given the few hard words I encountered, I feel The Red Balloon by Christopher Trackim is feasible for children between 5 and 9 years.

The learner is likely to draw valuable lessons from the book given that Mazy losses a balloon that ends up saving frog from drowning.

I like the idea of the balloon having an adventure of its own. Balloons are prone to "escaping" from their humans and flying away. This sounds like a sweer book.
