Love, Grandma by Ann Morris is a heartfelt dedication of childhood memories from a grandmother to her grandchildren.

Grandma fills with joy whenever her precious grandchildren, Payton and Haley come over for a visit. She blissfully enjoys entertaining them with various activities. They dance with bears, sing songs, read books, bake cookies, play dress-up, and put on a puppet show. They fulfill each activity with innocent childhood joy, pure love, and enthusiasm.

The author derives her story from memories and experiences with her beloved family. It would be impossible to write with such adoration if you have not felt those emotions first-hand. I loved this sincere display of affection from a grandmother and fondly thought of my own mother and mother-in-law’s doting mannerisms towards their own grandchildren. The soft pink hue of the illustrations brought forth a feeling of nostalgia that could only be associated with the warmth and kindness you would expect from your nearest and dearest.

The third-person writing style is easy to read. The words are simple and clear, so a younger audience can effortlessly enjoy reading this book unaccompanied. This being a charming children’s book, there is naturally no profanity or explicit content. It is also not partial to any religious beliefs. I wholeheartedly would recommend this book to anyone looking for a compassionate bedtime storybook for children from as young as 2 years old. I would not recommend it to readers looking for drama or action, as they will not find it within these pages.

I disliked nothing about this book. I can see myself reading it repeatedly to my nephews and nieces without growing tired of it. The book also has no spelling or grammar errors, which leads me to believe that it has undergone a round of professional editing. I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of this book and I believe it deserves the highest rating of 4 out of 4 stars.

I am excitedly looking forward to reading more books by this author.
