Love, Grandma by Ann Morris is a short, richly illustrated children's book about the relationship between a grandmother and her two granddaughters. Love, tenderness, sacrifice, and devotion have adorned, along with creativity, the pages of this book. The text of the book is written in such a way that it rhymes and reminds of a children's song, which makes the book suitable for re-reading. Each page of the book is enriched with a suitable illustration showing in graphical form the activity stated in textual form on the same page.

For the love of Haley and Payton, their grandmother plays with them in all possible ways. Dancing with teddy bears, reading books, various tricks that the grandmother performed for her two granddaughters are probably a part of every healthy childhood. The same can be said for occasional overnights, making cookies in various forms, and even playing in a beauty salon where the customer has always been a grandmother. The pages of the book very convincingly describe other activities typical for children up to the age of five, such as making tents out of blankets and chairs or painting the drive with their sidewalk art. The book is completed with the message that the granddaughters will always remain in the grandmother's heart.

What I really liked about Love, Grandma is putting family values and togetherness at the forefront. Also, the book shows more traditional types of children's play without the use of today's ubiquitous electronics, which I really appreciate. The text of the book is written in such a way that it rhymes, which together with the fantastic illustrations make a great whole. In addition, the book is a very suitable volume for younger children and I believe that it will hold their attention well. While reading the book I did not find any typos or errors and the book seems to be professionally edited.

There’s nothing about the book that I didn’t like. Activities close to younger children, rich illustrations, and short, easy-to-understand text are the main features of every good children's book, which is the case here as well.

With pleasure, I rate the book Love, Grandma with four out of four stars. The book is primarily intended for joint reading by adults and children. The text of the book is short, reminiscent of a poem, and is additionally enriched with high-quality illustrations.

I primarily recommend the book to children aged 3 to 5, but also their parents and grandparents as well. Because the main characters of the book are two girls, I think the book is more suitable for girls than for boys.

The book being intended for a joint read of both adults and children makes it to be impressive.

Despite it being a children's book, it sounds like something I'd be interested in too! Thanks for a great review.

Exactly. Grandmothers are like mothers only with more patience and time for grandchildren.
