Cat detectives in the Korean peninsula: diary of a snoopy cat is the 8th installment in a series of children’s books by RF Kristi. The book chronicles Inca, a Moscow semi-long hair cat, and his friends’ journey as they try to unite a family across the Korean peninsula. The group of animals and their mom are transported to South Korea for a prestigious baking competition. They stumble upon a brother and a sister separated by the disastrous relations between the two countries. Inca, along with his friends must try and unite the duo.

The book comprises many wonderful things. The best thing I found about this work was how beautifully and simply the author describes the tumultuous relationship between North Korea and South Korea. Kristi explains the concept so eloquently that even kids can understand it. The book is fun and insightful at the same time. It emphasizes how all Koreans are similar and that the war is futile. The bond between all the animals is very heartwarming. The group of animals consists of cats, dogs and a hamster.

I could find no point of faults or improvements. I have no criticisms for the book.

I would give this book 4 out of 4 stars. The book is great for children, as it serves as a fun yet knowledgeable experience. Every character has their own quirks and idiosyncrasies. This provides for an intriguing reading experience. I could find no problem in the book. The book seems to be exceptionally well edited, for I could find no grammatical mistake or typo.

I would suggest this book to mainly kids and parents. I would also suggest this book to adults looking for a light read. I really enjoyed reading this book and finished it in one go. I believe that adults too will enjoy reading Cat detectives in the Korean peninsula.

I know this book has its detractors, but the author used color images and a fantastic writing style to draw the reader in and make them fall in love with the characters. This is a fantastic review.
