Plinkity the Rainbow Unicorn is a children's book written by Jane Owen and illustrated by Nick Talbert. It is a lovely story about a unicorn named Plinkity-Plonk because that is the sound her hooves make when she flies. Her mother's name is Swish-Swoosh, and her daddy is called Rumble-Grumble. The other unicorns are amazed by Plinkity because she has many colors. They wonder why she has so many because they only have one color. Some are a bit upset about that.

The book offers readers an educational perspective on diversity. This aspect was what I liked the most about it. The unicorn's issues with her multiple colors make for an absorbing background that frames a discussion about diversity. This theme arises in a light and fun way, resulting in an easily understandable narrative for children. Above all, I liked how the author framed the narrative. I believe readers will relate to how the unicorns addressed their differences and dealt with them.

I particularly enjoyed how Plinkity's parents assure her that whatever color one has doesn't matter. Encouraged by them, Plinkity overcomes her issues; she starts to make friends and have fun with them. I also liked that other unicorns even wish they were multicolored too. I thought the author brought this up skillfully.

Additionally, I found the book's illustrations to be particularly alluring. In my opinion, in a children's book, the illustrations play a central part. I find them to be even as important as the story itself, for they hold the children's attention and awaken their imagination. The illustrations were a noteworthy positive aspect of the book, clearly depicting the unicorns and their different colors.

Lastly, I rate this lovely children's title 4 out of 4 stars. I have no negatives to mention. Also, I thought the book seemed professionally edited, for I did not find any grammatical errors in it. I believe the book will appeal to younger children who are fond of animals.

The name "Plinkity" is hilarious. I would read it just because of that, and I love unicorns. It is a great idea to use such an amiable creature to teach about diversity. Thanks for the excellent review!

This sounds very lovely. I think that kids are the most impressionable, so they should be taught from an early age so that they could learn earlier, and this book touches on the topic of diversity. Thank you for the lovely review!

If I was a child, I’d pick this book😂. It’s my type of book as at when I was a kid. Plinkity also seems to be very charming. This is a nice review.
