Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is the eighth book in the Inca Cat Detective series. It is a silly, one-of-a-kind children's book about a witty and smart cat detective. Written in a fun, loopy text, it sure to keep kids wanting to read more. What's not to love?

Inca and the rest of the cat family are quite excited when they realize their human Mom is going to take them to South Korea. Missy is especially delighted when she finds out she will get an opportunity to present her special brand-new cheese called La Crème de la Crème during the contest. So they board the airplane and are ready to start their adventure. When they arrive at South Korea, they get introduced to their lovely translator and tour guide, Ye-Jun. When they find out that Ye-Jun needs help reuniting with his sister, the cat detectives are happy to help. Will they be able to do it?

I loved the adorable and colorful illustrations in the book, and I am sure they will help kids understand the scenes when the text becomes a little challenging. In addition, I loved the author's writing style. It was absolutely engaging and funny. It is exceptionally edited since I was not able to hit on any grammar errors.

The book contained some challenging words like "sumptuous" that may be hard for some little kids to understand. But other than that, there is nothing I did not like.

According to the text, I give the rating 4 out of 4 stars. Overall, Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula was a fun read. Admittedly, it was a nice break from some of the intense adult books I have read over the past few years. I recommend it for kids aged eight to eleven. But people older than that can read it as a nice break.
