I believe we are influenced by what we read, watch, or listen to. That's why I love it when children's books contain positive messages. That way, the books are able to instill values in the children who read them. At a young age they are vulnerable, so they need to be careful of what they're exposed to.

Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi is a children's book that contains positive themes and has a compelling storyline. It is book seven in the Inca Cat Detective series.

Inca's human mom takes Inca and her siblings, Fromage and Cara on vacation in Valle, Sri Lanka. The cats enjoy their vacation with Charlotte, their friend who is a hamster. Inca also befriends Rani, a turtle. While on vacation, they found out about an antique sword that was stolen from a museum in Colombo. The case becomes more interesting when Solo and Terrance become involved in the investigation. With the help of others like Meena and Mama Elephant, Inca and her detective team are able to start making progress to discover the identities of those behind the theft of the antique sword. Grab a copy of this book now to find out how they went about their investigation.

I must say that I'm impressed with the storyline of the book. It is captivating. The story was thrilling and full of suspense and surprises. I love the teamwork portrayed by Inca and her team. I also enjoyed the adventurous nature of the book. I have no doubt children will enjoy reading it. The book has a standalone plot, which is awesome. The author also gave background information on the characters. This aided in a smooth transition.

There was absolutely nothing I disliked about the book. The author's writing style is engaging. The book also contains several beautiful illustrations. These illustrations made the storyline more captivating and helped paint a vivid picture in the reader's mind. The characters in the book were well-developed. My favorite character in the book is Meena. I also love how the book discourages discrimination. The storyline involves diverse animals like cats, elephants, a dog, a hamster, etc. working together.

The book was exceptionally and professionally edited. I didn't come across any errors while reading it. Therefore, I'm rating Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend this book to younger children.
