Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi is a mystery book about a cat who owns a detective agency. It explores the themes of teamwork, family, and mystery.

Inca is the head of Inca & Company, a detective agency aimed at solving mysteries. It all commenced on the Island of Sri Lanka when a valuable antique sword was stolen at a museum in Colombo. Inca's detective instinct made it difficult for her to ignore what was going on, and she set her mind to finding those responsible. Solving this mystery required efforts from the team and other new friends. It also involved taking the giant step of accepting individual differences and achieving a common goal. Her quest for wanting fairness and supporting justice leads her to face danger squarely. Read up to know more about the outcome of this mission and the challenges they encounter.

The events in the book were divided by dates and not by chapters. This helped avoid creating a gap that would drive the reader far from the plot. Also, it creates a close relationship between the reader and the characters therein. I was greatly pleased with the author's effort to weave a plot using different animals as characters. The illustrations used in the book are a close representation of its reality. Therefore, I rate Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat 4 out of 4 stars.

Kristi's writing style is fun and captivating. The language used is simple in consideration of whom the underlying message is meant for. The author maintained the tempo of mystery and suspense when needed. An instance is when Inca and her team were searching for the stolen good and could not find them. At that moment, I felt their efforts were futile, and they were following a wrong lead, but that was not the case. My favorite character in the book is Inca; this is not because she is the book's major character. Her character depicted more than leadership; she exhibited a thirst for justice and love amidst other things. Also, I liked the scene where Inca allowed Rani to be their lookout on the beach despite her slow movement. This taught me a valuable lesson on accepting people with their flaws rather than neglecting them. There is nothing I dislike about this book.

This is a well-edited book as I came across just one grammatical error while reading the book, and I was incredibly impressed. This showcased the time and effort the author put in making the book easily comprehensible, especially to the target audience.

In conclusion, I would recommend this book to children between the ages of 3 to 8. This book has hidden treasures waiting to be discovered by the readers. It will serve as a vital instrument in impacting positive long-term values in children and equip them for what life may throw at them.
