Alyssa McCarthy’s Magical Missions: (3 book series) by Sunayna Prasad is fiction about fourteen-year-old Alyssa. Alyssa lost her parents at the age of seven. She lived with her aunt and uncle for six years before Alex, her godfather, took custody of her. Bewitched by an evil wizard, Alyssa's life changes drastically, as she now has to live with uncontrollable magic, which could ruin her chances of getting into high school.

In the previous year, she had to deal with controlling this power. After that experience, she thought she had lost those powers. As a result of her magical abilities, she is surrounded by more enemies than she can handle. The journey got tougher when Alyssa was under a spell, and her friends and loved ones were dragged into this magical mess. She is on the verge of losing her memories of everyone she loves. Unknown to Alyssa, the battles surrounding her began even before she was born.

Alyssa McCarthy’s Magical Missions: (3 book series) is a children's suspense-filled book on friendship, love, and emotions. Alyssa's love for her friends is tested, as her bond with her loved ones puts her in a difficult situation. Her strong will and resilience were an inspiring part of the book. The author took the time to explain every detail in the book. There are also tips on overcoming anger issues and traumatic experiences.

Also, the characters' diverse personalities, opinions, choices, and preferences make the book interesting. Furthermore, I liked the book because the author ensured that the characters had diverse traits to fit into the storyline. The relationship between the characters seems to establish a bond, which would inadvertently lure the reader into their circle.

The book is interesting, and there were not many errors. However, to explain in detail each character's emotional state, the author went to the extreme, making it so fictitious. Also, the transition from one event to another was not smooth, as I would put it. There was no flowing connection between the chapters. These were the negative factors I found in the book.

Hence, I rate this book 3 out of 4 stars because ofthe issuee of transition. It does seem to be professionally edited. I recommend this book to patient readers, kids managing anger issues, and lovers of action-packed novels.

This seems like those teenage shows they air on tv with multiple episodes and never a conclusion. High school setting, teenagers, magic, friendship, and love; everything I love about these shows and will love about this book. Thank you for the enlightening review.

Alyssa is a character who exhibited acts beyond her control. Not too quick to blame her because it started before she was born. Thanks for the review
