Review of Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat
Most of the time, I feel like going on an adventure, having lots of fun, and doing some good in the process. Lord knows I've done so several times in my head and would love to embark on such an adventurous journey one day. Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi tells the story of an adventure of Inca and her crew of detectives.
Inca and her crew of detectives are in for another adventure in this seventh standalone book in the series. They investigate the theft of an antique sword from the Colombo Museum. Inca, Cara, Fromage, and Charlotte all got this news while on holiday on a beach in Sri Lanka. They were having fun with the sand and the water and making new friends. Eventually, Solo and Terrance arrived on the island, as Solo was tasked with the duty of investigating the theft by the director of the museum. With Inca and her crew on the investigation, with help from others like Meena and Mama Elephant, you know the bad guys are in a lot of trouble. You wouldn't want your younger ones to miss this adventurous story, so quickly get a copy.
Finesse, mind-blowing, exciting, adventurous, and captivating are some of the numerous words I can use to describe this amazing story. I do not doubt that children will enjoy this because every aspect of the book is thrilling. Even I, as an adult, enjoyed reading this book. I love the way the author is meticulous with details about the investigations carried out by Inca and her crew. At a point, you forget that they're animal characters and start looking at them from a human perspective. I love the character development and the information given on each character. This is the first book I've read in the series, but the information given by the author on the characters enabled me to read it smoothly as a standalone novel.
There was unquestionably nothing I disliked or found wrong with this book. It teaches children several important and simple things about life, like friendship, teamwork, selflessness, and patriotism. I also want to give credit to Jorge Valle for the illustrations. They were beautiful and will undoubtedly be instrumental in the enjoyment of the book by the children who are reading it.
Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi was professionally and remarkably well-edited. The book didn't contain any grammatical or typographical errors. The storyline of the book is very interesting and valuable to children. I'm rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend it to children from ages 6 to 13. Parents can also read it to their younger children of ages 3 to 5.
