I absolutely agree with you. They were so loving for each other! It was a delight to read their daily interactions.Bradley Shelvie wrote: ↑22 Apr 2022, 23:12 It was wonderful reading how the Millers always had fun as family, and I loved seeing what unique bond and love they had for each other.

I agree. It was dealt with gently and genuinely. Such behaviour does not come show up without a reason. Once that is identified, the world will be a better place:)Sarah Kate Smith wrote: ↑02 May 2023, 00:48 I love the plot of this book, as it centers on Donny and Mary Grace and Donny's gradual acceptance by Jason, who normally bullies him because he has Down syndrome. It would be a wonderful book to read.

Yes. It has lessons for kids and adults too. It is an amazing book. A sensitive issue dealt with in a humane way.Ama Ra Chi wrote: ↑02 May 2023, 01:59 This book is both educational and informative. Congrats on making it to the book of the day.

How MG dealt with the bully was the best part. There was 1 teacher who used this shoebox idea in our class asking us to freely share whatever we wished to. I was reminded of her after reading this book.Jeremie Mondejar wrote: ↑02 May 2023, 03:26 I'm already done reading this book. I can relate to Mary Grace when she leaves her beloved Wichita, Kansas City, and her friends. I love the idea of writing about things you like. I agree with your idea about the way the author handles the bully in the story.

True. It carries lessons for parents too. Spending some quality time and bonding with kids is as essential as food clothing and shelter. Also parents behaviour should be appropriate as children take cues from elders and think it is ok to behave a certain way or speak certain words.
