Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is the eighth book in the author's Inca cat detective series. The writer's book series is for adults who want to read for fun and for kids to arouse their interest in reading.

Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula is a continuation of Inca the cat's adventures with his family, which includes other cats, Terrance (a dog), Solo (their landlord), and Missy (their humanoid mother figure). The family lives together in London, and their detective company is well known. They had just come back from a vacation in Sri Lanka, and now Missy has been invited over to South Korea. Being a chef herself, Missy is selected to be one of the French patisserie competition judges.

Everyone in the family is excited about the journey and sets out for South Korea, but unknown to them, challenges lie ahead. How will Missy tackle Enca, who has been her long-standing rival? Will Ye-Jun succeed in bringing Ji and Baram back home from North Korea? Will the cats be able to stick together in the face of the trials to come?

Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula is an engrossing read from beginning to end. R. F. Kristi is a good writer, which I must commend. The author's use of simple words and imagery enhances the flow of the story.

What I love about this book is the author's use of pictorial representations and the vivid description of places and events. R. F. Kristi developed a good plot, and I was kept in suspense, especially when Inca and his gang stealthily crossed over to the demilitarized zone between North and South Korea to help their friends. This is a good depiction of the theme of friendship. The book's ending is predictable, but it doesn't matter, as the storyline was interesting.

There is nothing that I do not like about the book. It was exceptionally edited and error-free. I found not one error in the book from the beginning to the end. Also, there was no adult content, making the book suitable for young readers. Therefore, I will give this book a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book to children and adults who love children's stories.
