Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is another addition to the Inca Cat Detective Series, but this doesn’t hinder your reading as the book stands properly on its own.

Missy was invited to a cooking competition between the South and North Koreans. The whole family had to travel with Missy for the competition. Missy's cheese was stolen from her while they were leaving the plane in Seoul. The detective crew had to do everything possible to protect Missy from the sabotage planned by the mischievous chef. There are hitches to their journey, but they make lots of friends during their trip.

The novel is written like a journal, with each day being categorized into segments. The simple structure of the book made it more approachable as a children’s book. I was able to gain new knowledge about Korea from reading this book. It was impressive how the author was able to reach a high climax in this book and could still bring the whole story to a good conclusion at the end.

I had a mix of emotions because I was rooting for the protagonist all through the book. The book had a good mix of both suspense and action for readers to enjoy. The story’s plot was not rushed and was allowed to develop gradually.

The book cover was also attractive to me, and It made me interested in the book from the start. I liked how the author maintained a simple writing style and vocabulary all through. The book had me engaged and flipping through pages. The book was organized in a manner that readers could follow the progression of events.

This book deserves a rating of four out of four stars because it was exceptionally edited, and I loved the book. I did not dislike anything about this wonderful book. It was written with great care and was exceptionally edited. I would recommend this book to young readers.
