Did You Know? is the perfect name for this book that provides historical facts about things we use in everyday life. Ashok Bhaskaran is the author of this children’s book that explores nine different foundings in a quick read of 20 pages. This is the type of book that could be read as a bedtime story or to a classroom of kids.

Jason is the main character in this story. He’s nine years old and starts the book off by getting a tablet that he always wanted for his birthday. From that gift, he informs the readers how the first version of a tablet was created over 3,000 years and was made out of mud and clay. Jason is a true source of information, I was even surprised to learn that the first commercial phone was created in 1877.

The backstories of how these inventions started and where they are now are necessary for the younger generation to know. Parents should get this for their kids who are between the ages of 5 and 10. I’m a visual person so the thing I loved most about this book - besides the information - is the illustrations that were created by Elena Siderova. Kids will enjoy these colorful paintings that perfectly depict what is being described on each page.

Did You Know? is an easy and fast read that kept me captivated throughout. The story is so well-written and well-structured that I found no spelling or grammar errors. I deem this book exceptionally well-edited and an enjoyment to read.

I’m giving this book 4 out of 4 stars. Usually, I like to read stories that have a climax, compelling points, and resolution, but this is truly an informative children's book. Kids are the target audience for this story and it’s something simple that they can retain. Other than that, I can say that there is nothing I disliked about this story.
