Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R. F. Kristi is a children's book about a cat called Inca and his detective agency. His agency specializes in solving genuine detective mysteries. Inca and his team members plan to go on a journey with their mom—the young woman who owns them—to South Korea. A French cookery school recently selected their mom to be one of the judges at a cooking competition in South Korea. Inca and his team members are so excited about this news, and they are eagerly looking forward to a journey full of many adventures with lots of detective work to be done.

I admire the author's creativity in weaving together such lovely and admirable characters. I also enjoyed the love Inca and his team members regularly showed their mistress and the fact that they were always protective of her and would not allow anyone to cheat her. My favorite part of the book was when Enzo tried to steal their mistress's new cheese. They went all out trying to recover the cheese, and they eventually discovered who the thief was. I loved that the book was educational, and I also loved that the author included little drawings of each character, which made the book much more fascinating.

Aside from being a lovely story, the book had some educational information that readers might find informative. My only complaint is that the book lacked suspense, and there was no intense detective work present in the book. Going by the book's title, I expected to see more detective work, but I was a little disappointed when I got to the end of the book. I wish there were more engaging plots to showcase the detective capabilities of the cats.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. This book was exceptionally well edited, the literary context was excellent, and above all, I found no errors. This book was educational, with many great lessons to be learned. The characters were fun, and I enjoyed how the author incorporated the lessons.

Overall, I would recommend this book to parents and teachers of children ages 5 to 9. Younger children will equally enjoy parents reading the story to them at bedtime.
