Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi is a children's book about detective cats who are involved in problem-solving and unraveling mysteries. Inca, the head of the Inca and Company detective agency, goes on a wild adventure with Fromage, Cara, and Terrance the dog. They are challenged to help bring peace to North and South Korea while there, and they also attend the French patisserie competition, where they stopped Enzo from stealing Mom's cheese. Mom, their human owner, had been selected as a judge in one of the competitions.

The flow of events unfolded in a unique manner that kept me engaged throughout the whole read. The author's use of artistic illustrations was also commendable. This will keep children who will read the book hooked because they love drawings and pictures. It will also help them remember the story and they will interact better with the book.

I also loved how the kittens were always ready to solve mysteries. This is a character trait I loved in them that I would certainly want children to learn about. The suspense they created throughout the story was magical, too. In addition, the author's use of simple language was commendable because children will not struggle with hard and new vocabulary or have trouble understanding the book.

Lastly, I loved how the detective cats helped to bring peace to both North and South Korea by risking to cross the border and bring Bo-Mi back instead of their human owners having to. Considering the state of affairs in both countries and the fact that Solo and Ye-Jun did not have permits, sneaking through could have jeopardized the peace treaty between the two countries.

I loved everything about the book. I don't think there is anything negative about it. It appears to be exceptionally well-edited, and I didn't spot any errors. The book was brief; within one sitting, I was done reading. I anticipate reading the remaining books in the series. Due to the reasons mentioned above, I rate this book four out of four stars.

I would recommend this book to children who love detective stories.
