There are several factors that make a children's book not only suitable but also interesting. Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi has all the qualities of a perfect children's book. It will surely attract a large audience.

This is a children's book with a standalone story, despite it being the seventh in a series. It lets the readers know about the main characters by describing them, as well as making a beautiful illustration of them. The main character, Inca, is with her family on holiday in Sri Lanka when they are faced with only one choice, which is to do what they know how to do best: investigate and solve crimes, and deliver justice. The crime they have to solve this time is finding out who is responsible for the disappearance of an antique sword in Colombo. They are later joined by old friends, and together they get to work.

I have read a fair number of children's books, and I can confidently say that this is one of the best I have ever read. The book did not only have an interesting storyline; it also had scenes that were relatable to real-life events. Despite it being full of animal characters, there were several thought processes that were in line with real-world situations. One thing I loved about it was also the fact that it still had a simple nature that was needed for easy understanding by children. The storyline of the book is quite compelling and adventurous. Children will surely enjoy the inquisitive nature of the detectives in the book mixed with the fancy, catchy, and beautiful illustrations.

The only thing I disliked about this book was the lack of inclusion of many minor characters. Apart from the main characters, only a few other minor characters were included. I feel like the inclusion of several minor characters with different interesting personalities would have made it more interesting for children. Nevertheless, as an adult reader, I was captivated by the storyline and beautiful illustrations. I'm definitely sure children will be enthralled by the book. The characters used in the book were developed well. The use of characters like Rani and Meena as helpers was awesome. The inclusion of antagonists like Mr. Appu and Babu also made the story more interesting.

This book was professionally and exceptionally well-edited. I did not find any errors in it. The book made use of simple sentence structures and wordings. Therefore, I am rating Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend it to young children who can read and to children who can comprehend when read to.
