Inca was on yet another adventure. A cooking competition has brought her to South Korea. No, she was neither a contestant nor a judge. I doubt a cat would be allowed to be either in our world. She tagged along with her mom, who was a judge. Upon getting to South Korea, she discovered a plan that Solo, her mom's boyfriend, was hatching. This plan could disturb the peace South Korea has been enjoying. It could break an important treaty. To avoid that, she and her team of furry animals must venture into North Korea without being detected. This is a feat that is impossible for many, even for cats. However, Inca is no ordinary cat.

Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula is Inca's record of her time in South Korea. It is one of her many diaries (I believe it is the eighth). R.F. Kristi used this book to teach her readers many things. One of those things is friendship. She taught her readers what true friendship should be and feel like.

Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula showed me the beauty of South Korea. It also gave me a look into what this nation does to remain at peace with North Korea. It also showed me the pain citizens on both sides feel because of the split that birthed these two sovereign nations. So, I can say that Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula did not only give me a story of pure adventure from a cat's perspective. I also got a lesson on the two Korean halves. I liked this feature the most in Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula.

There was nothing I disliked in the whole book. I enjoy following Inca around on her usual adventures. I enjoyed reading about her daring crossover into North Korean lands. I was so scared and caught myself praying for her safe passage. That part gave me goosebumps. Anyway, I plan on rereading this story when I have the time.

Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula was professionally edited. R.F. Kristi forgot to correct just three errors in the book. I am impressed. Anyways, I have already said there was nothing for me to dislike in the book. That is why I rate it 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend it to readers who have followed Inca, the snoopy cat, worldwide. If you have never read about any of Inca's adventures but like books about intelligent animals, consider reading this book.
