Nine-year-old Jason had just gotten a new tablet for his birthday. He was excited, but his new gift made him remember a well-known fact about tablets. One fact led to the next, and he ended up telling us facts about random things in our world. You can say that this little boy is very smart. He told us all of these in Did You Know?.

Did You Know? was written by Ashok Bashkaren and illustrated by Elena Siderova. I like to describe this book as a little encyclopedia of facts about our world. I must confess that in my old age, many of the things that the author wrote about in this book came as news to me. For example, I watch shows on my television every day, but I know nothing about their origins. I will not tell you what I ended up learning because that would be a huge spoiler. You just have to read Did You Know? to know what I know now.

Did You Know? educated me. The illustrations were also beautiful. It has my seal of approval. It is also straightforward. Young Jason did not beat around the books when he was spitting facts about everyday things. He also connected these facts to things that have happened in his life and his family. I liked this the most in Did You Know?. It made it so relatable.

There was nothing I disliked in Did You Know?. It was short and simple. It was also educational and gave me so much to ponder. I loved the way the words and the pictures were positioned. I also liked how relatable the whole thing was.

I saw just one error in Did You Know?. This goes to show that Ashok Bhaskaran edited it professionally. Also, because I loved everything that Ashok Bhaskaran wrote in this book, I give it a rating of 4 out of 4 stars. I recommend this book to anyone who wants a simple book to teach them facts. However, I especially recommend it to readers aged five to ten years old. They will learn so much from Jason, the nine-year-old human encyclopedia of facts.
