The world has numerous challenges, even more so for people living with rare conditions or those who are differently abled. It is our duty to make such people feel as comfortable as possible and to make the world enjoyable for them. Donny and Mary Grace's California Adventure by Catherine A. Pepe tells the story of Donny, who was born with Down syndrome, and his supportive family, moreso his sister.

The book is one hundred fifty-one pages of thrilling text, and it does not disappoint. Mary Grace and her family live in Witchita with her parents, but something happens and her parents have to go to Africa for two years, which prompts Mary and her brother Donny to be sent to California to their grandparents. The transition is really challenging and they have to face everything courageously. Will Mary Grace and her brother manage to fit into California? To find out, get yourself a copy of this amazing book.

First and foremost, I would like to applaud the editors of the book for a job well done, as I didn't find any errors. This added to the overall beauty of the book. Reading something inspired by real-life events is very interesting and motivating. This is what I loved most about the book. The plot is also well narrated and easy to understand, which is also good for the readers. The characters are also well developed, and I can't wait to read something else by this author.

I didn't find anything in particular to dislike about the book, as it is well written and handles things that we encounter every day in our society.

I rate the book 4 out of 4 stars because it doesn't have any errors and passes on the intended message in a superb way. I recommend the book to kids and to all who love children's books.
