Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi is the seventh book in the Inca Cat Detective Series. Inca is a smart detective and the head of a London-based detective agency. She has a team that consists of her brother and sister, a hamster, and two cute dogs. Inca loves to investigate and solve crimes, and she is good at it. Inca has a human mom who takes them on a vacation to Sri Lanka. It is a beautiful place with a rich cultural heritage. While she is there, she finds out that there was a robbery and an ancient sword, along with other valuable items, was stolen from the local museum in that place. Inca decides that she and her team are going to find the missing items. Their first clue was that two men who were dressed like policemen lured the guard, handcuffed him, and committed the robbery. Will Inca ever find the two thieves who stole the precious sword? Find out when you read the book.

Inca, who happens to be the main character, is a smart cat, and she was very likable. She appears to be having a good time at the beach with her friends. I believe she is brave because she takes risks in her job. There are other side stories apart from the robbery, which makes the book more interesting. It is a children's book, and the language used is easy for children to understand. The entire plot was engaging and relatable for children. There were beautiful pictures in the book that showed the characters, although there were not many, and they sometimes did not relate to the story at that time. I believe children will find this book interesting. The plot diverts from the main story a couple of times, for example when Inca gets lost in the forest while looking for her brother. I think that part was unnecessary in the story.

I don't think there's anything I disliked about the book. The pictures looked great. I did not find the story confusing, and the words were easy to understand. Although this is a children's book, I enjoyed reading it as an adult.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. It was entertaining, and I picked up one or two lessons from the book.

I recommend this book to children, especially those between the ages of 5 and 9. But older children might find the book interesting too, just like I did. I suggest you get that child in your life a copy of this book.
