It can be very difficult for us as humans to let go of things we're already accustomed to. We get used to living in a place. We get used to our friends, our environment, and everything around us. What happens when everything changes in a short period? What happens when we have to let go of the things we're already used to? Donny and Mary Grace's California Adventure is a book by Catherine A. Pepe that covers and shows us how Donny and Mary Grace try to adjust to their new environment.

Donny and Mary Grace live with their parents in Kansas, where they get to go to school, have fun with their friends, and go to the zoo. They enjoyed going to the zoo with their parents because they got to have fun and spend time with themselves. One day, both Mary Grace and Donny get a piece of surprising news, one that could change their lives and bring out new feelings in them. Donny seemed particularly happy about this decision because he was ready to experience new things. The same couldn't be said for Mary Grace. She wasn’t ready to leave everything and start all over. While getting to know a new environment and trying to make new friends, Mary Grace gets into a situation that makes her question her change of environment. Will Mary Grace let this encounter bring her down, or will she set out to solve this problem and get accustomed to her new environment?

Donny and Mary Grace's California Adventure is a book by Catherine A. Pepe that contains adventures, family, friends, and the feeling of a new environment. I loved both Donny and Mary Grace's characters. What I love about Mary Grace is the kind of love she has for her brother. She doesn’t let her emotions affect her brother in a bad way. Donny, on the other hand, is a happy character who is ready to be open to everyone and love everybody. I also loved the fact that the author took the issue of bullying very seriously. It wasn’t brushed off or looked aside, and I loved that it was addressed.

There was nothing to dislike about this book. I loved reading every word of it. Another thing that struck me about this book was the visual interpretations. It wasn't a lot, but I could notice it. The book was professionally edited, and I would rate it 4 out of 4 stars for all the positive reasons mentioned above.

I would recommend this book to people who love a bit of adventure and are trying to adjust to a new environment. It is also suitable for children, as there are good lessons to be learned from this book.

From this book, I learned that people with disabilities can live a healthy and happy life as long as they have the support of their family. Donny was a lucky child. His family loved and supported him and made sure that his positive energy never ran dry. I enjoyed reading this book.
Great review!

Children stories that adults can read are well structured. The author created a general reader thing for this book. Mary Grace showed a trait not found in most children nowadays. Looking forward to reading this book.

Change doesn't come around easily. I can agree with Mary Grace that it was going to be hard to be accustomed to a new place. This is something we can't run away from no matter how hard we try. It is, however, great that we should always see change from Donny's perspective. Your review is nice. It captures Donny and Mary Grace's emotions well. Great work.

This looks like what any age can read although it looks like a children's book. Thanks for an intriguing review.
