Review of Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat
Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat is an interesting children's book written by R.F. Kristi. For the holidays, Inca, a cat detective who heads a detective agency, his siblings, and their human mother traveled to a village named Galle for the holidays. They stayed in a cottage close to a beach that served as their relaxation zone. The island where they lodged was described to make the reader more connected to the story. After they had an amazing time on the beach, their mom took them to a different location where they met and exchanged pleasantries with other animals. On the other hand, Solo, a detective, and his dog, Terrance, came to join the Incan family. Solo tells them that he was invited by someone to investigate the case of a precious stolen sword. With the help of Terrance, Solo's dog, Inca gets enough information to trace the suspect. Were Inca and his team members finally able to track down the robbers? This story reveals it.
I loved so many aspects of this book. The title page had a catchy color; the combination of colors used made me more eager to savor the content of the book. The picture of the animals added made me love children's books more. I got to know that animals hate traveling like human beings. I feel it makes them feel threatened. Inca, the cat detective, mentioned in this story that kitties like them hate to travel. Furthermore, just as humans have different personalities, so do animals; when Inca and his siblings met animals such as elephants, leopards, turtles, buffalos, and monkeys, they discovered that they were all very different from one another.
I admired the way all of them looked out for each other. It showed that they were united; when Fromage went to visit his cousins, who were leopards, everyone waited for his arrival back home, yet he didn't come back on time. Solo, his mom, and Terrance, the dog, went in search of him. Furthermore, going on vacation is necessary because it makes one feel happier, satisfied, and less depressed; this was evident in Inca and his family members' excitement after their vacation ended.
This book was exceptionally well edited; I didn't encounter a single error. The storyline was also worth reading because it was interesting. I learned that animals are unique in their way. However, I didn't like the font size that was used on the different pages; it was too big. A little reduction would be great. However, this reason didn't stop my enjoyment of the book; hence, I didn't deduct a star. I give it a rating of four out of four stars.
I recommend it to kids because the storyline of this book will appeal to them. Teachers in kindergartens, nurseries, and primary schools would also enjoy this book because it has an interesting story that they can tell their pupils in school.
