This book is one of the series of Inca, the super-duper detective cat, and her other friends. Today, we join Inca in Serendipity Mystery: Diary of a Snoopy Cat by R.F. Kristi as she tries to uncover and solve this new mystery.

While having a good time on a vacation in Sri Lanka, Inca heard of the robbery attack on the local museum. An ancient sword had been stolen from the museum, and officials and investigators set up a team in an attempt to solve the case of the missing sword. Solo, a friend of Inca’s human mom, was appointed to lead this investigation. Inca got some leads and was also trying to crack this case. Will Inca solve this case before Solo? Will she be able to retrieve the stolen swords?

This book was lovely to read. Even as an adult, I enjoyed it because of the wonderful storyline. The book covers themes such as friendship, bravery, teamwork, and determination. These are morals that every child should possess, and it is good that they are taught to them at a young age. Inca was always up to something, and I could not wait for her to uncover her plans. There was always a mystery for her to uncover, and this built a bit of suspense. The colorful diagrams in this book are a factor that can draw a child’s attention towards it. Finally, this book was very educational too. One could learn a bit about the history of Sri Lanka just by reading this book.

I feel like some words used in this book were too complex for children. One can even notice the complexity starting from the title of the book. This complexity of words will not only distort the child’s flow of reading, it will also reduce the number of children who can enjoy this book. Younger children may find these words hard to understand without the aid of a grownup.

I will be rating this book 4 out of 4 stars because the storyline was interesting and captivating. Also, it was void of errors. This shows that this book was exceptionally edited. I recommend this book to children within the age of 8-12 years old. Younger children can also enjoy this book with the aid a grownup to break down the complex words. Mums and nannies can also get a copy of this book to read as bedtime stories to children.

The book has a good storyline that both children and adults will love. Since the intended audience are children, the author could have used simpler words.

I enjoyed reading this review.

I have read this novel also, and I agree with the points you raised here. Kristi deserves commendation for the amazing themes explored in this novel, like teamwork, bravery, and friendship. These helped greatly to the success of Inca's investigations.

I don't see a child reading this book and not liking it. Inca is an easy character to like. I hope to read this book soon.

I salute the prowess of the author as she brought to live, the intelligence of regular home pets. I like the charisma of Inca in coordinating others in their mission.
