Cat Detectives in the Korean Peninsula by R.F. Kristi's is the eighth book in the series Diary of a Snoopy Cat: The Inca Cat Detective. The book begins with Inca introducing herself as the head of Inca & Company, a super-duper Siberian cat detective. Inca and her team are well-known throughout London and the rest of England for their involvement in solving detective mysteries.

Missy, Inca's humanoid, was famous for her cheese and was chosen to be a judge at the French Patisserie competition organized by 'Le Gordon Bleu' in South Korea. She was invited to launch her famous 'La Créme de la Créme' cheese at its own event prior to the competition. Inca and some of her team members, as well as Missy and Solo (Missy's love interest), were soon on their way to South Korea.

The team must ensure that Enzo, Missy's rival and who will also be a judge at the competition, does not jeopardize the launch of Missy's famous cheese in South Korea. When their tour guide, Ye-Jun, was willing to break the law to resolve a family crisis, Inca also shifted into investigation mode to try and assist him. Will Inca be able to assist Ye-Jun, or will he break the law, potentially disrupting the peace process between North and South Korea even more?

I found nothing negative about this book.

The book's positive aspects were that it was simple to read, with fewer words per page, which should encourage young children to read. I enjoyed the illustrations in the book, and the author succeeded in making me feel like I was reading from the perspective of a cat. I really like how a drawing introduced and defined each cat, dog, hamster, and person. I liked how humans and cats are depicted in the family tree together. The author uses the book to educate children about the conflict between North and South Korea.

I give this book 4 out of 4 stars because it teaches children about real places and their histories. The illustrations were excellent, and I fell in love with each character. I enjoyed the story and wish I had read it when I was younger. This book teaches children about love and friendship. Young children will enjoy the story because it is told by a cat.

I recommend this series to children aged 8 to 13 who enjoy reading about mystery, love, and friendship. I also recommend it to children who are interested in the cultures of different countries around the world.

Illustrations are especially important in a children's book. I'm glad these were good enough to keep a child's attention. Anything that can make lifelong readers is worth it.

Being an educator, I love this book and the series. What a creative way to teach children about world issues and learn about different cultures. I love the colorful illustrations and the animal characters. Terrific job!
