Review of Sockboy in Space

[Following is an official OnlineBookClub.org review of "Sockboy in Space" by Karl "Ultrakarl" Cottle.]
Sockboy thought, "I'm tired of these many rules and having to worry." Wouldn't it be better to go somewhere where none of these problems existed? I will run away to the sky where courageous men have explored and are exploring. I will dance around the rings of Saturn and visit one of the many moons of Jupiter. He thought, "There could be life out there if only we knew where to look." While sitting in the void, he realises that there is only him. It then occurred to him that not one of these places would ever be better than the earth.
Wow, that is all I can say after reading this book. I love how Karl "Ultrakarl" Cottle always approaches his books. I'm yet to see an author who tackles social vices more mildly yet achieves big. Sockboy in Space is an enthralling book for any child.
I'm so glad to have read all the books in this series. I love how Karl introduced this book by giving his audience a lecture about space and how worldly life could be there. Sockboy, just like most children, thought he could run away from his problems rather than face them. I love how he started to appreciate the things life gave him when he realised it was not always greener on the other side.
There wasn't anything negative to write about this book. After reading Karl's first work, I have consistently rated him highly in writing and illustrating children's books, and like always, he didn't disappoint in this book. I can't see anything stopping me from rating this book 4 out of 4 stars. Children who read this book will benefit morally, but their knowledge of space and its planets will also broaden. Karl has a way of addressing children's societal issues with a storyline you won't expect. His way of creating suspense and the surprises he offers to his readers is something that any good writer should look to emulate.
Sockboy in Space will primarily appeal to children who are space enthusiasts. I hope to see another book in this fascinating series. It was exceptionally edited; that's to say, I saw no errors while reading.
